Choosing a hat for that special day can be daunting for Mothers of the Bride or groom because often it is their first time wearing a hat but it needn’t be . I have been helping Mothers of the Brides and Grooms style their wedding day look , choosing the perfect hat and
I would say consider your hat early and not to leave it until the last minute as it can make it break your overall look and can also be stressful shopping for accessories.
Shoes and hats need careful consideration as need to compliment your outfit but be comfortable to wear also.
To choose a hat it works better if you have your dress with you so you can try on and assess the whole overall look.
Hat shapes suit different head shapes and also the style of your outfit.
A hat needs to compliment not compete with your outfit.
It is a good idea also to take a picture of outfit so you can see how you look in a photo wearing the hat , you will see if style and colour are right and on the big day you will have a pic on how to wear the hat ! As with the drama on the day you may struggle to put the hat on the right way !
